Freeze the World

Through vivid imagery and emotional depth, the poem invites readers to pause time and cherish the fleeting magic of the moment.

Pause the world—
I’m getting tired of being tired.
I’m building up a world
Of our own,
Casting you in my dreams,
Chasing winds as we please,
Staying till the end.
Letting desire build its nest,
Letting destruction in with consent,
Dancing in the mess,
Acting like newborns—ignorant,
Attempting every prospect,
Filling up vacancies,
Making our way out of terrors,
Improvising our fears like kings,
Ruling over the odds.
Furnishing rooftops with stars
To wish upon like lovebirds,
Eloping from worries.
Living in the moment, building a world
As if the angels of death knock at the door.
Freeze the world.
Let’s go on a magical ride.
Let’s meet up in the dreams.
